Afternoon tea at the The Shore – Review

Afternoon tea in the UK is almost like a tea related ritual. Enjoyed since early 1840s, afternoon tea evolved into a light meal before evening dinner and usually includes a selection of home-made pastries, sandwiches and scones with clotted cream and jam.

I am a huge fan of Afternoon tea and what better place to enjoy the nation’s favourite delights than at The Shore Fish & Grill House at the DoubleTree by Hilton Edinburgh – Queensferry Crossing whilst looking out at the stunning views of the new Queensferry Crossing & the Firth of Forth

The Shore Grill & Fish House is the latest destination venue from the creators of award-winning Twenty Princes Street & Juniper cocktail bar located in the busy Edinburgh city centre.

The open plan restaurant & bar with ceiling to floor windows is the perfect place for drinks, food, special celebrations or nights out with friends. Soak up scenic views of the iconic Queensferry Crossing from your table or just sit down, relax and watch the world goes by.

Afternoon Tea at The Shore is the perfect combination of sweet and savoury, served daily from 12pm to 4.00pm. Featuring an indulging collection of seasonal sandwiches including smoked salmon, honey roast ham vintage cheddar, accompanied by freshly baked scones with clotted cream and preserves. Finished with freshly baked cakes, pastries and Petit Fours

Complemented with a spectacular range of classic and fruit teas, it becomes even more luxurious when served with a glass of chilled champagne.
