August in Edinburgh is such a magical month where the finest performers from the worlds of opera, music, theatre and dance gather in one city for three weeks. Edinburgh Fringe Festival it is not just all about the shows, street food trucks and bars are popping out all over the city.
Tablaro team has been recently invited to celebrate the ancient fires of the volcano on which Edinburgh is built with an exclusive range of fire-inspired cocktails at the Botanical Garden by Hickory Bars.
The Botanical Garden by Hickory Bars located in the picturesque grounds of George Heriot’s School on Lauriston Place, where the BBC at the Edinburgh Festivals set up their base for August.
The venue offers an oasis of calm with deck chairs, cosy blankets for colder evenings and stunning views of Edinburgh castle. With live music and BBC shows, space is vibrant and ever changing. The venue can be a great place to socialise, meet new folk and keep the children entertained with lots to do.
What separates The Botanical Garden from other pop up bars is its great view of the Edinburgh Tattoo Fireworks that light up the skies overhead.
Paul Connolly, the bar manager at Hickory Bars, took us through 3 specially created for the event cocktails, including an ashen egg-coated bloody mary, a sparkly fizzy sour and pear & jalapeno margarita.

An estimated 70000 people have visited the Botanical Garden, many of them enjoyed the first in Edinburgh Pop Up Bar serving prosecco on the tap.
Hickory bars are committed to supporting local producers.
