The Basement Bar in Edinburgh to host a one-off ‘Holy Guacamole’ party

Edinburgh’s Mexican Cantina, The Basement Bar is hosting a one-off ‘Holy Guacamole’ party and giveaway this Saturday, 12th August.

Two Basement ‘Mexicanos’ will be setting off around the East End of Edinburgh, from 1pm – 7pm, stocked with 250 juicy avocados to give away. Those lucky enough to get their hands on one can return it to Basement Bar to receive a free portion of ‘Holy’ House Guacamole and Chips.

Made right in front of your eyes, tailored to your taste, The Basement guacamole is renowned throughout Edinburgh for its authentic Mexican flavours.

Kicking off the celebrations back at ‘base’ will be a selection of Edinburgh’s top DJ’s; Joseph Malik, Niknak Nik, Jimmy Jammin and Mort De Rire, playing in the outside courtyard from 1 – 8pm.

If the music, weather (fingers crossed!) and guacamole doesn’t put a big smile on your face, then the Frozen Margaritas served from the pop-up stall are sure to do just that. One for £6 or two for £10, they’ll run until you drink them dry.

The Basement is an authentic Mexican bar, nestled in the centre of Edinburgh’s New Town. Basement appreciates the simple things in life; great local produce, top quality drinks and the best company. For that reason, their food is made to be shared amongst friends, hosting a wide selection of small and large plates on offer.

Hosting a menu of over 45 different Tequilas and 20 Mezcals, Basement proves the Mexican national drink is one to rival that of a Scottish Malt. Tequila Flights – from £13 for 3 varieties – each served with their homemade Tomato Sangrita & Pineapple Verdita are available, the perfect serve for those Tequila novices.

Basement Bar is open from 11am – 1am, 7 days a week. For more information visit
