Celebrate Summer Flavours at Malmaison Glasgow

Summer has finally arrived here at Malmaison Glasgow with delicious looking and sounding cocktails plus a new summer prix fixe menu.

The chefs at Malmaison have taken the freshest seasonal ingredients and created a series of vibrant salads, fruity desserts and light main meals packed with vibrant flavours.

For a special meal that won’t blow the budget, this new summer fixed price menu is a must try. Malmaison Glasgow Summer Offering includes two courses from the Summer Fixed Price menu for £19.95 or three courses for £24.95. A packed with bold flavours and colours menu featuring dishes from crunchy Thai salad and chargrilled chicken to slow-roasted brisket with blackened sweet potatoes.

Malmaison Glasgow has undergone recently a major change – The Honours Restaurant by Martin Wishart has been replaced with Chez Mal Brasserie. Malmaison Group decided to grow and develop Chez Mal brand, following the successful introduction in eight of its hotels in the UK. Chez Mal Bar and Brasserie are at the heart of each Malmaison, offering contemporary dishes, modern cocktails, craft beers, bubbles by the buckets and relaxed informal atmosphere.

It’s almost impossible for us to visit Malmaison and not to have at least one of their signature cocktails. Chez Mal bar cocktail menu features timeless classic cocktails as well as exciting Twists or Malchemy cocktails.

It took us a while to decide but Zombie Rum Punch was definitely a good choice.

For starters, we opted for Buffalo mozzarella, heritage tomatoes and watermelon with fragrant Thai basil and Goats cheese apple and pear salad.

A salad that looks as delicious as it tastes. The simple and flavoursome salad was a great light and meatless starter. The sweetness of the pears and apples, the crunch of the toasted walnuts and the creaminess of the goat cheese are incredible with a fresh lettuce. Raspberry dressing complemented the salad adding raspberry flavour but with a touch more tang. I really liked the goats cheese they used and I would not mind an extra bit next time.

Delightfully refreshing and delicate salad that combined watermelon, heritage tomatoes with fresh buffalo mozzarella. Colourful, tasty and refreshing starter that was shouting: ‘Summer is here’

Mozzarella with tomatoes and basil is a classic combination that everybody loves. It always tastes best in the summer when tomatoes are at their peak

Thai basil just added a herby spiciness, while a dash of sweet balsamic syrup brought out the best flavours of both the watermelon and the mozzarella.



Chargrilled chicken breast & crunchy Thai salad with Satay sauce

What a great way to kick off the summer season. I am a huge fan of Thai influences on the menu. The mix of textures, bright colours and flavours of Thai dishes always provide an unforgettable table experience.

The succulent chicken was grilled to perfection and topped with a vibrant Thai peanut sauce that was bursting with tangy and spicy flavour. Crunchy Thai salad was packed with textures and incredible flavours.

This was an excellent dish.

Summer vegetable & cherry tomato linguini with fresh chilli and grilled tiger prawns

This dish is a real crowd pleaser, the combination of fresh summer flavours with simple-prawn pasta is a really healthy option that tastes great and will leave you feeling energized. If you love your food with a hit of spice, you’ll definitely love this dish.
There is something very appealing about the combination of grilled tiger prawns, tomatoes, chilli and linguine that just works. Very light and low-fat seafood dish was topped with colourful summer vegetables. Even though the portion was quite generous I did not feel extremely full and I was looking forward to my dessert.

Summer ratatouille salad 



Fresh red berries & vanilla mascarpone with shortbread crumb

Fresh red berries with mascarpone make a brilliant flavour combo and it was such a simple pudding that was light and satisfying.

Banoffee Cheesecake (caramelised bananas & Valrhona chocolate sauce)

A cheesecake with a difference! This is one dish I could get addicted to. Two of my favourite desserts combined on a single plate! Banoffee pie meets cheesecake in this indulgent creamy toffee dessert. Definitely one of the most delicious and most indulgent desserts I have EVER eaten!

The summer Fixed Price menu is available from Monday to Saturday for lunch or dinner until 7pm.
